Cooperation for Forestry Development - COOFOR

COOFOR - Logo

COOFOR is a group of Cooperation in Support of Forestry Development located in the Higher Technical School of Forestry, Forestry and Natural Environment Engineering at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. It was founded in 2006 with the purpose of advancing the sustainable management of the territory in a collaborative and coordinated way in Latin American and African countries.

The group has worked on projects that cover a wide variety of topics that include forest hydrological restoration, socio-economic programs such as the creation of nurseries, schools and training programs, agroforestry systems, spatial planning and space management, species management and green corridors, waste management, natural risk management, among others.
