The Basics of the Circular Economy in the Construction Sector context: transforming waste into resources.

Athens course students from different backgrounds, cultures and countries participated in this course to learn the basics of circular economy in the construction sector and participate in activities, work together and develop competences around circular economy, through brainstorming, brainstorming and active. participation to contribute to the transformation of waste into resources. The course “The fundamentals of the Circular Economy in the context of the Construction Sector: transforming waste into resources” was addressed to university students from all disciplines, and took place from 13 to 31 March 2023 at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain.

RESULTS
- A common glossary related to the circular economy in the construction sector was created. Each student contributed to the definition of terms and the content of the glossary by analysing the received papers.
- Infographics / Presentation / Report: 5 sets of infographics related to raw materials were made by 5 teams, the students researched on the analysis of materials related to their life cycle, blockchain, etc. They provided technical ideas to solve recycling, reuse and waste management problems.
