DESCRIPTION:

• The Neurobiology of Parkinson´s Disease group from the Cajal Institute CSIC (Madrid) is seeking a highly motivated and organized Master/PhD candidate interested in developing a Master’s final project or Doctoral Thesis in the field of Neuroscience.
• The project will require application, analyze and perform in vivo electrophysiological recordings in head-fixed mice.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree or MS degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computer Science or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience working in a laboratory and experimental animal handling is welcome but not required.
• Good communication and organizational skills are highly desirable.
• Analytical skills required to resolve problems that entail the use of basic scientific, mathematical and technical principles are a plus.
• Experience with using MATLAB for signal processing and/or hardware development and other programming languages are essential.
• Good qualifications are desirable.
