Govtech 4 Impact World Congress 2025

The Govtech 4 Impact World Congress took place in Madrid on 12, 13 and 14 May. It brings together leaders, officials and innovators from around the world to address the main challenges facing governments. G4I promotes process optimisation, efficiency, cost savings and citizen participation.

Our colleague Sonia Solera attended as moderator of a round table on cybersecurity that addressed the major challenges facing the digitisation of public administrations in this field. It was an excellent opportunity to discuss and share perspectives with international experts in the field of cybersecurity.

Some of the issues addressed were the implications of the proliferation of technologies such as IoT or 5G in cities, the concept of cyber smart city or the role of public-private collaboration. The need to protect citizens’ systems and information against current cyber-attacks was highlighted. In addition, it was mentioned that the adoption of cybersecurity technology in public services depends largely on skills and talent, so young people with technological knowledge are key.
