The objective of the project is to develop a graphical application for monitoring the devices of a supermarket, such as scales, cash registers, price checkers, turn ticket dispensers, multi-service kiosks, … ), Through a web-based graphical interface, the system operator can remotely visualize the state of the devices and request to perform diffrent actions on them.
By combining network management and Internet of Things technologies, the system provides an integrated framework for managing the heterogeneous devices deployed in the supermarket. The solution takes into account the different programming capabilities and management interfaces provided by the managed devices. The design of the system considers both flexibility and scalability issues. Thus, it allows new types of devices to be added in the future, as well as extending the solution for managing a group of supermarkets.
