2018 YES-Europe – Young leaders in Energy and Sutainability

The RSTI research group participated in the 2018 Young leaders in Energy and Sutainability – Europe Annual Conference held on 16 and 17 April in the UPM Mining and Energy School (Madrid).

Gregorio López was invited to give a talk on “Innovations in Grids: Smart Grids for Smart Cities” and to participate in the round table on “Smart cities – local vs regional policy integrations?” together with Dr. Pablo Frías Marín (Deputy Director, IIT) and Laura García Chiquero (Corporate Strategy and M&A, CEPSA). During his talk, he stressed that, in his opinion, a city that does not make their citizens to live better and happier cannot be smart no matter how much technology you put in there and provided insights on the role that Information and Communications Technologies will be play to achieve a more efficient and sustainable electrical grid.
