A place for collaboration between professors and students.

Bernardo Llamas. Head of the Laboratory, contract lecturer with a doctoral degree accredited as titular professor. His expertise covers underground exploitation technologies for both CO2 and energy storage, microalgae uses and biomethane production. With more than 40 international publications, he leads several of the projects developed at LiP.

Marcelo F. Ortega. Technical manager of the laboratory and PhD contract professor accredited as titular professor. With more than 40 international publications related to the optimisation of energy systems and statistical analysis of spatial/temporal and multivariate data.

Isabel Amez Arenillas. Assistant Professor in the department of Energy and Fuels, and member of the Industrial Safety in the Explosive Atmospheres research group. She is currently researching and participating in competitive projects in the energy sector about the use, combustion, and safety of renewable gases such as hydrogen and biogas. Collaborator of the Official Laboratory J.M de Madariaga in the Area of Inflatable Substances.

Laura Sánchez Martín. Has a Bachelor degree in Energy Resources, Fuels and Explosives Engineering, a Master’s degree in Mining Engineering and is currently a PhD student in the DIMARMA Programme. She is a researcher of the LIFE SMART AgroMobility project working on distributed biogas and biomethane production. Additionally, she researches the energy recovery of waste.

Mª Del Carmen Suárez Rodríguez. She holds a Bachelor degree in Energy Resources, Fuels and Explosives Engineering and is currently studying a Master’s degree in Mining Engineering. Her current research involves Life Cycle Analysis and, in particular, its application in the LIFE SMART AgroMobility reference project. Additionally, she is also part of the economic analysis of the process and its environmental technology verification (ETV).
