UCM-UPM, working together.

Rocío Sanchez, a UCM student in the translation and interpretation degree, collaborated with us in the 2020-21 academic year. She writes about her experience with us:

For almost a year I have had the opportunity of being part of this Research Laboratory group. This allowed me to learn not only a great deal about translation and its working methods but also about teamwork. I have translated and reviewed numerous texts, some of which are going to be published or have already been published. I’m grateful to have been of help. Not only because I’m sure it will be useful to me in the future, but also because I’ve gained knowledge that I never knew I would have. In my opinion, an internship is always a positive experience that will help you get an idea of the work market and to acquire techniques and strategies that you are not taught in class. As for me, I have learned how to make glossaries, how to document myself with parallel texts, how to study a text before working on it and how to make a thorough revision of the material. My experience with them has been entirely favourable and I would recommend anyone else to join this amazing working group.

Grateful and committed to the formation of our students: together we are stronger! Thanks Rocío.
