Engineering Research Laboratory teaching and research
The Engineering Research Laboratory (in Spanish Laboratorio de Ingeniería de Proyectos, LiP) is an open space for educational innovation and research. At the ETSI Minas y Enegía, you can find a young group of professors with a special interest in energy, subsurface, and the environment, in a cross-cutting manner between the departments of Energy and Fuels, and Geological and Mining Engineering.
Working with the professors, we have predoctoral fellows and postdoctoral researchers. There is also an open space for degree and master students during their last years of formation, students motivated to develop innovative projects.
Right now, LiP is working in projects such as SMART Life with Hydrogen (UPM 2019 award for the best public-private partnership project), LIFE SMART AgroMobility or RETOS COLABORACIÓN SMART MinEnergy.
These projects strengthen a huge research initiative in the field of CO2 emission reduction: the development of alternative fuels and energy storage are the main lines of the LiP.
