The Circular EELISA Community is excited to invite students and professionals to participate in a one-week immersive experience dedicated to circular economy in construction. The event, taking place from March 17 to 21, 2025, will explore how waste materials from different industries can be transformed into innovative and sustainable construction materials.
Through a combination of expert lectures, hands-on lab sessions, and a Design Thinking-based workshop, participants will gain a holistic understanding of circular design. The focus will be on identifying, designing, and manufacturing new construction materials while analyzing the stakeholders involved at each stage of the process.
The week-long activity will encourage participants to think critically about waste management, material innovation, and the role of different industries in sustainable construction. By applying circular economy principles, students will design and prototype new solutions that could contribute to more sustainable building practices.
