MOOC I- Personal branding

The personal branding MOOC was helpful to understand why and how I should promote myself on Internet. Personally I don’t have a strong ditigal identity and I have never considered the idea of thinking myself as a brand.

Now I am aware of what is the best way to manage my presence online. Indeed, I have already added on my PLE some channel that I should start developing.

About the MOOC content, I think that the topic of Digital Privacy could have been explained more in detail, since it is an interesting and very important theme.

Personal reflection on the professional future

In my professional career I’m not sure in what field I would like to work. There is such a wide range of topics I would be interested in, such as recycling of CRW or green energy transition. It is not clear to me how I might contribute to a more sustainable world, if by working for a company or in research. I would like to try both experiences to be able to understand what suits me better.

What i know is what is important for me right now:

Stability: I moved a lot lately and, for how inspiring and positive this was, I feel like I want to stay in a place for a bit longer, instead of moving every 6 months/1 year. For now, I would like to keep living in Spain. However, one day, I would like to go back to Italy.
Free time: I want to work in a stimulating environment where I can put into practice what I have learned so far. At the same time, I think it is important to have time to dedicate to my friends, family and to what I like. I don’t want all my life to orbit around my job.

Laura Rosso- personal presentation

Hello everyone! I’m Laura, 24 years old, from Italy.

I graduated in chemical and biochemical engineering in Bologna, Italy. After my bachelor, I had the desire to travel and improve my personal path. For this reason, I worked for some months as an au-pair in San Francisco, California. At the same time, I was willing to shift my study toward a more sustainable field. That is why I’m currently enrolled in the Advanced Material Innovative Recycling (AMIR) master’s program, which gave me the opportunity to study in Lisbon and Madrid.

I’m enthusiastic about acquiring new knowledge to find solutions for the environmental challenges we are facing today, and I hope I would be able to actively contribute after my studies.

In my daily life I’ve always tried my best to have a sustainable lifestyle and be helpful in my community. This brought me to work as an educator in middle and high school, organizing awareness courses in my hometown. I also like to spend my free time with my family and friends and watching movies and paint.
