UPMDay22

On 17th and 18th of May, the joint graduation ceremony for students from the entire Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) was held. This event was held for those students who completed their studies and did not have their corresponding act because the health conditions during the pandemic prevented it. This macro event called UPMDay22 was held at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium and was attended by all students who completed their bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral studies during the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 academic years. 

Among the schools that attended was the ETSI de Telecomunicación, and among the thousands of graduates we highlight the presence of our colleagues Carmen Sanchez Zas and Sonia Solera Cotanilla. Both finished their studies of Master’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering in the 2019/2020 academic year. During this award ceremony we also highlighted our RSTI colleague Víctor Villagrá González, in his role as Deputy Director Head of Studies at ETSI de Telecomunicación.
The organization of the event prepared simultaneous events at the Wanda Metropolitano facilities. These events consisted mainly of the assignment of specific spaces for companies to discover the talent of the UPM and to publicize all the academic and research offerings of the UPM (degrees, masters, ongoing research, etc.). In fact, a web page was set up to inform about all this.
