The days from May 15th to May 20th have been very busy for Team HERCCULES!

First of all, our member Ángel Grover Pérez Muñoz, former student at the BSc Degree in Computer Engineering and student of the Distributed and Embedded Systems Software master at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, participated in a soldering course at ESA/ESTEC. He summarizes his experience with these words:

“During our Critical Design Review (CDR) at ESA/ESTEC, I had a joyful and rewarding experience in the soldering course. There I could meet great people from other BEXUS experiments and ESA“.

“In this two-day course, we learned about soldering “Surface Mount” (SMD) and “Through  Hole” components. In addition to some tips and skills from Kohen that you won’t find in any online tutorials.”

“Moreover, We had the opportunity to visit incredible places such as the ESTEC Test Centre or the Large Diameter Centrifuge and could share great moments at the workshop and closing dinner. Definitely, this trip was a once in a lifetime experience”.

After the soldering course, the Critical Design Review (CDR) presentation sessions took place, in which the team traveled to present the HERCCULES project, together with the HERMES, SBGA and CASTOR team. In these sessions, all teams attend trainnings on environmental testing, interface discussions and aun “Ask your Expert” session.
