Do you want to know more about the project and about stratospheric balloons in space? Do you want to know about a project made entirely by UPM students? Next March 17 at 2:00 p.m. we will give a conference in the “Juan de la Cierva” auditorium, at the Higher Technical School of Aeronautical and Space Engineering (ETSIAE).

The head of the project, David González Barcena, a researcher at Instituto Universitario de Microgravedad “Ignacio da Riva“ (IDR/UPM) and a PhD candidate currently working at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) as an Assistant professor, will lead the conference with two more members of the group; Marina Merchán Bravo, a last year student of the MSc in Space Systems at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and responsible of the secondary payload; and José Miguel Álvarez-Romero, a PhD candidate at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid currently working as a researcher at Instituto Universitario de Microgravedad “Ignacio da Riva” (IDR/UPM), and responsible of the Outreach Program and the AIT activities.

In addition to showing the news and development of the HERCCULES project, we will also talk about the predecessor project, the TASEC-Lab, which was already discussed in a previous post, and we will bring the model, so you can see it in person! In addition, the importance and potential uses and applications of stratospheric balloons will be discussed.
