2nd CO-CREATION SEMINAR:LOW EMISSION ZONES: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES

Istanbul 22-24 February

This is the second International Seminar of the Low Emission Zones Co-creation Seminar call. It will take place on February 22, 23 and 24 in Istanbul organized by Istanbul Technical University (ITU).

It is a three-day intensive multidisciplinary seminar where urban mobility solutions were identified and designed to facilitate discussion among stakeholders on Low Emission Zones (LEZs) in the context of the potential Istanbul Low Emission Zone.

The seminar combined both student learning and real-world practice following a community-based learning approach.
The Historic Peninsula of Istanbul was chosen as the case study area. In which the students divided into 3 teams each specialized in one type of solution, focusing on Micromobility, Accessibility and Traffic Modeling.

It has been a great opportunity to share knowledge and build real solutions together with the different stakeholders, from the private sector, as as Parabol, the Municipality and the participating universities, UPM, BME and ITU as the organizer.
