Introduction to Personal Branding
As an overall idea, the MOOC has helped me to visualize my future personal brand. It has given me ideas to understand different topics and some tools for improving my PLE so I can achieve that personal brand.
I found the part of defining my mission statement and choosing my three cornerstone words quite interesting. To look introspectively in order to define better your personal brand is essential and it helped me a lot. Besides, thinking about my “board of directors” gave me an idea about who I wanted to have next to me.
Very related with the development of the PLE, specially with how to inform about the content I can create, was the part of social networks. This helped me to visualize that part of the PLE and how I could manage it, focusing on possible maintenance plans for my brand. Also, if paying for digital tools was worthy or not. In this way, I can improve my LinkedIn page, for instance.
Apart of that, it gave me an overview about the reputation management and how to manage the online identity. It made me aware of the importance of digital privacy, because I had not thought about it before.
At the end of the MOOC, I had clear which tools and apps I could use for boosting my personal brand at this moment. In line with my objectives of the DI plan, which are finding an internship and learning more about Circular Economy, I have added some new tools to my PLE like Coursera. Being a basic course, it contains some parts that are very useful.
Circular Economy: An Introduction
This MOOC is very complete, and I have enjoyed it a lot since it reviews all the general ideas that we have been studying in the Master. I like how they explain little by little the butterfly diagram, which has made me better understand it.
Bringing all these experts of different fields gives you an idea of how broad is the Circular Economy and all the efforts that many players are carrying out. I have found very appealing the Remanufacturing part, with all the business values it brings and the challenges that are introduced between original products vs. remanufactured ones.
In regards of my PLE, I am sure I will start using EDX for more courses like this and thanks to all the additional content that they give, I can start diving on papers, webs and video platforms.
