During the subject of Training for Professional Digital Competence, I was following two MOOCs which were presented by the University of Virginia about “Personal Branding” and by TU Delft about “Circular Economy: An Introduction”. Here I’m going to tell you a brief explanation of my experience from these courses.
Personal Branding: This course teaches us how we can create our own brand on the internet by using different applications and the reason for the importance of enhancing our knowledge about personal branding. It has helped me to know some significant details that affect digital identity and the ways for improving our brand which can vary depends on our objectives as we have learned and discussed it during the sessions of class. I understood that just creating a brand is not all, but also how it should be maintained by our treatments and try as far as we can to make positive impressions. According to my objective which is finding a proper job and internship and also improving my knowledge about the circular economy, I learned how I can update and improve my CV in LinkedIn as my PLE and also I got familiar with Coursera as another my new PLE which can be used to participate in many related courses to CE.
Circular Economy – An Introduction: One of the most interesting online courses that I have participated in was the Edx course. It explained why a circular economy is needed and we have to imply it in all aspects of our lives especially the businesses. Probably, the reason that why I have been really fond of this Mooc is because it was related to this master and I had known enough subjects for the introduction of CE and this courses added another spectacular knowledge which somehow completed my previous information. Introducing the types of business model, business values creation, butterfly diagram analysis, biomimicry, and a lot of details for the circular economy. The thing that I really admire about this course and made it most useful for me, was that explaining the theories by a wide range of real example in industry and markets that made the lessons more understandable. Concerning my PLE, I have known and experience one of the sources of online courses in the circular economy and during this course, I found many interesting videos on YouTube and papers from other pages.
