New Doctors Investiture Ceremony

On Friday 28 February, the Polytechnic University of Madrid held the investiture ceremony for the new doctors who completed their doctorates in the 2023/24 academic year. Almost 300 new doctors defended their doctoral theses during the academic year 2023/24.

The ceremony was chaired by the rector of the UPM, Óscar García Suárez; accompanied by Berta Gámez, secretary general of the UPM; Luis Gómez, vice-rector for Research and Doctoral Studies of the UPM; Alberto Garrido, vice-rector for Academic Strategy and Quality of the UPM; and Marta Olea, delegate of the rectum for Communication and Institutional Relations; as well as the directors of the schools to which the new doctors belong.

Among the 300 new doctors are our colleagues Mario Sanz, Carmen Sánchez and Sonia Solera, all three of whom hold PhDs in Telecommunications Engineering from the doctoral programme in Telematic Systems Engineering.
