AVATAR – Global Platform for Virtual Indentity

The main objective of the AVATAR project is the development of new algorithms and technologies for the creation of an Global Platform for Virtual Identity, oriented to the web services design based on WOA (Web Oriented Architecture).

The developed technology will provide the needed infrastructure for the creation of an international service provision and management environment, related to a profile or virtual identity. AVATAR will allow the creation of different user profiles with specific functionalities related to each profile. Besides the set of basic functionalities provided by the platform, it will allow the user to configure his profile for connecting with other platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. in order to belong an identification standard that will only require the AVATAR connectivity in order to access social networks and existing applications, with no need for new identity verification.
