Last 24th, March, we carried out at the Educational Adult Center Paulo Freire in Fuenlabrada a diploma delivery ceremony about the digital literacy. This center serves as a big example in the education of adult people and a clear demonstration of the compromise with digital literacy.

On the act, participated the staff of the center, the chief director and the teachers who had followed along the course development, with the staff of RETOMAdrID.

The results speaks by themselves, 60 people have completed the course. In many cases, that was their first contact with the PC.

Today, upon finalizing their curriculum, they count with more confidence and security to use IT in the day-to-day, therefore making a big step to digital autonomy.

This big impact makes more sense in a context as in the Educational Adult Centers, where learning not only requires acquiring new skills, but also getting over previous obstacles, fears and insecurities of technology. In this process, the methodology has been key; individually, without the necessity of a constant professor to be and adapted to the rythm of each student. The staff of the center has followed along the progress of the course and highlighted how this approach benifits digital autonomy allowing students to progress with more security when using techonology.
From RETOMadrID we want to appreciate hugely the disposition, implacation and exquisite welcome of Paulo Friere Educational Adult Center in Fuenlabrada @cepafuenlabrada , that becomes a big example to look up to in the digital transformation from a learning scope.

RETOMadrID keeps progressing thanks to the centers that allow this methodology to happen in an accessible, warm and useful way.
