Our methodology

How will we achieve the proposed objectives? Through TechPeopleCare, a methodology developed by a team of digital literacy experts from TEDECO (Technology for Development and Cooperation) at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). TechPeopleCare serves as the technological solution for the RETOMadrID challenge.

How it works?

This innovative digital literacy methodology can be applied on a large scale, sustainably, and in a scalable way because it is individual (it does not need to be applied to groups). Additionally, it does not require teachers, as it is based on audiovisual self-learning content following a “Learn by Doing” approach, integrated into an additional tablet with software accessible to people with no prior digital knowledge.

Each station is based on Digital Inclusion Points (PIDs), which are locations where individuals with no prior computer skills are trained to become basic users.

A PID can be set up in any public or private facility where the materials can be supervised by local staff, such as libraries, cultural centers, schools, offices, town halls, senior centers, NGOs, or association headquarters.
