Habil. Professor Lacramioara Diana Robescu (1968) is Dean of Faculty of Energy Engineering, University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.
She received the MSc. degree (Mechanical Engineering) in1991 from University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest and the PhD. degree (Energy Engineering) in 2000 from the same university. In March 1993 she joined Department of Hydraulics, Hydraulic Machinery and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Energy Engineering, University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest as an university assistant and became a full professor in 2009. She habilitated in 2016 (Habilitation thesis – Modeling and Simulation of Energy and Environmental processes). From 2012 to 2016 she served as vice-dean at the Faculty of Energy Engineering for quality assurance. She chaired Department of Hydraulics, Hydraulic Machinery and Environmental Engineering between 2016 – 2020. In 2015 she has appointed head of Department for Quality Management and between 2018-2020 responsible for study programmes quality assurance of University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.
Maintaining three research laboratories, her research interests focus on water and wastewater treatment, multiphase fluid dynamics and hydraulic machinery.
She was involved in 38 research projects. She has been awarded more than € 1 million euros in competitive external grants, serving as the project manager or partner manager on 16 external grant awards.
She has participated in 11 projects for institutional development for improving quality assurance, students’ skills, master studies, doctoral studies and adult education in the framework of Sectorial Operational Programme – Development of Human Resources (POS DRU), Leonardo da Vinci, Tempus and Erasmus +, being expert in 13 projects and project manager in 2 projects.
She was member in Scientific Committees of different national and international conferences and workshops. Her scientific and academic activity includes 10 technical books, 8 textbooks for students, 3 patents as well as more than 120 publications in national and international conference proceedings and journals. She is also co-author of three patents indexed in DWPI.
