Juan Carlos Mosquera Feijoo is a Doctor in Civil Engineering from the UPM in 1993. He obtained the Extraordinary Doctorate Award from the UPM in 1993 for his Doctoral Thesis on Seismic Behaviour of Arch Dams.
Professor of Continuous Mechanics, Structural Dynamic and Seismic Analysis since 1992 at the School of Civil Engineering (UPM).
Current research interests: Earthquake engineering, Structural instability, Structural dynamics, Numerical methods in structural analysis and design.
Collaboration in more than 20 R&D projects granted by Spanish public departments and in more than 20 research projects and studies launched and supported by European engineering companies. Research in finite element modelling of geothermal energy and seismology.
Director of 2 doctoral theses on design, optimisation, finite element modelling of steel structures and penstocks of hydroelectric power plants.
