David León Ruiz is an Assistant Professor and a Ph.D. student at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He currently teaches practical classes on Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Urban Mining, and Combustion and Fuel Technology at ETSIME (Higher Technical School of Mining and Energy Engineering). He is a member of the Industrial Safety in Explosive Atmospheres research group and the TECMINERGY Technology Centre. His line of research focuses on the adaptation of the pyrotechnic sector to the Sustainable Development Goals (reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, analysis of the impact of pyrotechnical noise on domestic animals, etc.). He also collaborates with the Official Madariaga Laboratory and participates in several national and international projects.
