Francisco Aguya Téllez, is an Agricultural Engineer (1983) and Dr. Agricultural Engineer (1986) from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Professor at the ETSI Agrónomos at the Polytechnic University of Madrid since 2002. Before being a Full Professor at the same University since 1987. he specialized in building and rural infrastructure, teaching subjects related to the structures and design of buildings for agricultural production and livestock. He has published 94 articles in scientific journals, 16 books or book chapters, and 259 communications in Congresses. He has participated in 30 technological innovation projects( 4 development cooperation projects and 12 educational innovation projects). He is currently a member of the editorial committee of 5 scientific journals and has been an evaluator of research articles for 62 scientific journals. Vice President of the Spanish Society of Agroengineering from 2003 to 2007, and again from 2015 to 2017 and President from 2017 to 2019, President of the Spanish Rural Engineering Commission (CEIR) from 2009 to 2014, Vice President of the Building Committee of the Engineering Institute of Spain from 2009 to the present and Spanish representative in the international thematic networks USAEE, ERABEE (with more than 30 European countries participating in each of them) and POMSEBES and TABE.NET (of cooperation between Europe and the United States of America), all of them related to the internationalization of teaching and research in the field of Agricultural Engineering and Biosystems and formed by numerous European countries. Director of the Department of Agroforestry Engineering of the UPM. Coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Agronomic Engineering and the Doctorate in Agroengineering at UPM. Evaluator of research projects for national and foreign agencies.
