24 octubre, Día de las Bibliotecas en la ETSI Industriales UPM

En este día especial, en la Biblioteca de la ETSII queremos rendir un pequeño homenaje a las Bibliotecas con un texto de Isaac Asimov que resume muy bien lo que significan para nosotros:

“…no es solo una biblioteca. Es una nave espacial que te llevará a los puntos más lejanos del universo, una máquina del tiempo que te llevará al pasado lejano y al lejano futuro, un maestro que sabe más que ningún ser humano, un amigo que te divertirá y te consolará y sobre todo una salida a una vida mejor, más feliz y más útil” 

“…it isn’t just a library. It is a space ship that will take you to the farthest reaches of the Universe, a time machine that will take you to the far past and the far future, a teacher that knows more than any human being, a friend that will amuse you and console you and most of all, a gateway, to a better and happier and more useful life”
