Howdy!! welcome to my blog!

My name is Linus, a dual Master’s student studying Advanced Materials and Innovative Recycling at both the University of Miskolc and Polytechnic University of Madrid. My journey into sustainability and the circular economy began long before I set foot in a university lab. It all started with a simple fascination for how things are made and a curiosity about what happens after we’re done with them.

My academic and career path has taken me across numerous backgrounds, exposing me to diverse approaches to sustainability. One defining moment was during my internship at METWEST Company Nigeria, where I was introduced to the intricate world of polymer recycling. Imagine working hands-on with materials, tweaking processes to optimize recyclability, and seeing firsthand how small changes could lead to big impacts in reducing waste. It was a challenging yet rewarding experience that showed me the true potential of circular economy principles, where nothing goes to waste, and everything has a second life.

At the Institute of Ceramics and Polymer Engineering, I had the opportunity to take my research skills further, exploring innovative ways to test and repurpose polymers. From conducting material characterizations with SEM and FTIR to optimizing processes for renewable resources, I have been able to dig deeper into the science behind sustainable materials. These experiences have reinforced my commitment to finding solutions that reduce our environmental footprint and create a positive impact.

Looking forward, my goal is to make sustainability my life’s work. After completing my Master’s, I plan to focus on advancing circular economy models within the materials industry. Whether through research in polymer upcycling or developing renewable material solutions, I’m excited to contribute to a world where sustainable choices are not only possible but practical and scalable.

Here, I will share my journey, insights, and the stories that drive my passion for a circular, sustainable future.

Thanks for joining me!
