European Engineering Learning Innovation and Science Alliance (EELISA) is the first alliance of Higher Education Institutions from different countries in Europe meant to define and implement a common model of European engineer rooted in society.
You can check the web of the EELISA project for more information.
The EELISA communities are mission-driven working groups that bring together students, teachers, and researchers from all partner universities with prestigious professionals, grassroots organizations, citizens, private companies, and public institutions to find innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
You can know more about EELISA communities in this link.
Health in the City is an EELISA community that aims to improve the health of people in the society through either projects with positive impact on population’s wellness or formative events for citizens.
In the Home page you can find a trailer for the community project.
In Health in the City we have three main action lines in which we focus on:
- Digital Health and Home Care
- Humanized and Efficient Hospital Care
- Prevention and Development of Inclusive, Healthy Contexts
In the Home page you will find more information about each of these three lines.
The community counts with teachers and students from different Spanish schools, such as ETSIT, ETSII or ETSIINF, or research centers as CITSEM.
You can find more about all the members of Health in the City in the Meet us page, where you will also find interviews to some of them.
Our community does not have a proper head office, as it is compound of member from many schools. Nonetheless, all of them belong to the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM).
Of course! Health in the City organizes events in which any person can participate, after registering for it.
These events are activities that take place in specific days, talks about interesting topics or courses with a longer time span. You can find all of them in the Events page.
We have used in our projects technologies such as Virtual and Augmented Reality, Signal and Image processing, Artificial Intelligence or computer simulations.
We currently count with the colaboration of many health-related centers.
