María Aurora Flórez de la Colina, holds a degree in Architecture and a PhD from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (1995, UPM, Spain). She is a P.T.U. professor in the Building Technology Department at UPM and Spanish co-coordinator of the GLOCAL European Project (https://glocal.pb.edu.pl/en/). She has been a practicing architect with more than 30-year experience in Building Construction, Architecture, and Urban Planning for companies such as Dragados y Construcciones S.A. Other activities include research at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ITAM) in Chequia. Her field of study is Architecture and Urbanism, focused on executing Technical Projects and the Management of Built Cultural Heritage. She is currently the convener of a course in Protected Heritage for postgraduate students, and Project courses for undergraduate students.
