The development of sustainable energy systems is a prerequisite for the fulfilment of the Sustainable Development Goals. Especially relevant to this end are thermal systems for the renewable electricity generation, industrial process heat, domestic heat and hot water, and energy storage systems.
The GIE TE4S aims to provide students with practical and applied training in the area of thermal energy. In this way, students acquire a realistic and critical vision of the state of the art and the challenges necessary to achieve these objectives.
To achieve this objective, work will be carried out along the following lines:
- Project-based learning.
- Practical work in the thermal systems laboratory.
- Practical work with commercial programs used in industry for the design of sustainable thermal systems.
The TE4Splay! platform contains different micro-applications for educational purposes developed by the Educational Innovation Group “Thermal Energy for Sustainability (TE4S)” of Universidad PolitĂ©cnica de Madrid (UPM)
