The Thermal Energy for Sustainability (TE4S) Group at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid is dedicated to advancing sustainable thermal energy applications through both modeling and experimental research. The group’s primary research areas include Concentrated Solar Power (CSP), Thermal Energy Storage (TES), Hydrogen Technologies, and Turbomachinery.
Since its inception, TE4S has shown a strong commitment to technological innovation, with over 50 patents—many at the international level—and more than 100 publications in high-impact journals. These accomplishments are supported by active participation in national and international research initiatives, including Plan Estatal, CDTI, FP7, and H2020 projects. TE4S also collaborates closely with leading companies and research institutions worldwide, notably IASS-Potsdam, Sandia National Laboratories, and MIT.
