My name is Salvia and I am a forestry engineer. In the professional side, I have mainly worked in scientific research, linked to the research group “Historia y dinámica del paisaje vegetal” [History and dynamics of vegetal landscape] of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). For more details, here are my profiles on ResearchGate and Academia.
I recently joined as curator of the Herbarium EMMA. During the first two years I was accompanied by the main curator, Paloma Gil Borrell. Fortunately, we were two people (Paloma and I) to work some days and, in adition, we had the help of our colleague Javier López Llorens (a very good amateur photographer). Therefore, we could tackle some pending challenges. For example, we begun to test different ways to increase the herbarium visibility. Until 2021, it only had static pages on the websites or blogs of other organizations: the UPM museum network (Red de Museos UPM) and the Unidad de Botánica – Montes.
