Rocío Rodríguez Rivero is an Industrial Engineer specializaed in electrical engineering and she holds a PhD degree in Organizational Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica of Madrid (UPM). After working for almost nine years in the private sector (where she was involved  in energy generation projects), having a volunteer experience in the Andes region in Ecuador helped her getting involved in social challenges. In 2016, she started to work in Project Management at the ETS Industrial Engineering at the Universidad Politécnica of Madrid (UPM). She is now participating in several projects focused on cooperation development. On her doctoral thesis she is searching on how to improve the effectiveness of these projects through the introduction of risk management.
