Our community arises within the UPM in the context of EELISA, an alliance of 9 European universities that is working on a future international engineering degree.

ID4H has the mission to bring together ideas and people to find innovative, creative and sustainable solutions through Industrial Design. The community is organising a day for UPM students to get involved and participate in these global challenges.

It will take place on the 4th of November (morning and afternoon) and will be attended by 10 experts on different topics addressed by the community. UPM professors and staff who are part of this community will also be present.

Who can apply?

Any UPM student, regardless of their degree.

Places are limited. Only 50 students. There will be 10 working groups of 5 students and 1 expert.

Is it online?

No. It is face-to-face, at the ETS Ingeniería y Diseño Industrial. You will work side by side with other students and experts who support our community.

What do I get if I sign up?

A day where you will meet companies and other students committed to social issues. You will see how it is possible to combine the technical aspects of engineering with other skills (creativity, entrepreneurship, sustainability), very important today to find any job.

Students will receive a certificate of participation (stamp of the community, UPM and number of hours).

We are sure that many project ideas and proposals for Final Degree Projects will come out.

What will it consist of?

The programme of the day is as follows:

  • 9:30h to 10:00h: Reception and accreditation.
  • 10:00h to 13:00h. Conference room. Speeches by experts* on the global challenges in which our community is involved.
  • Lunch break.
  • 15:00h to 18:00h. Team work sessions. Cooperative classrooms.
  • 18:00h to 19:00h. Presentations by each team in the Assembly Hall.
