CLEAN RIVERS, SAVE OCEANS:
Sensitization activity of “Clean rivers, save seas”, within the framework of the EELISA Industrial Design for Human Community, SERVICIO ETSIDI together with the Service Learning Office of Coslada.

CLEAN RIVERS, SAVE OCEANS is an activity that seeks to improve the environmental status of rivers, from the source of the river to its mouth, starting with the Jarama. The objective of “Clean Rivers, Save Oceans” is to achieve the recovery of marine environments with various activities focused on waste collection, also addressing awareness and environmental restoration to, in this way, avoid a relapse into the same problem.

In addition, it includes measures to know the origin of the garbage, evaluate its impact on the ecosystem and be able to monitor the actions introduced.

Timing of the awareness activity of “Clean rivers, save seas”:

The practical part on April 25 will take place during the morning at the CEIP El Olivo and the Parque del Humedal (Coslada, Madrid).

The schedule is as follows:

10:00 – 10:45 (45 min) – Awareness talk in a classroom of the CEIP El Olivo (Coslada) we would meet at the school door at 9:45 (Av. de España, s/n, 28821 Coslada).

10:45 – 11:00 (15 min) – Travel to the area where the field workshop and plastic collection will take place.

11:00 – 12:30 (1h 30 min) – Development of the workshop in the field.

12:30 – 12:45 (15 min) – Back to school.
