European Semiconductor Laser Workshop 2026
ESLW 2026, Madrid, Spain.
We are pleased to announce that the European Semiconductor Laser Workshop (ESLW 2026) will be hosted by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación (ETSIT-UPM).
25–26 September 2026
Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Madrid, Spain
The ESLW is a long-standing annual forum dedicated to semiconductor laser science and technology.

Following the European Conference and Exhibition on Optical Communications held in Málaga (ECOC2026), ESLW 2026 will bring together researchers working on semiconductor lasers to share and discuss the latest scientific and technological advances in the field.
Workshop Schedule and format
The event will begin on the morning of Friday, 25 September, and conclude in the late afternoon of Saturday, 26 September. The programme featured
- Invited talks on recent advances and emerging directions in semiconductor laser research
- Contributed oral and poster presentations.
For a detailed schedule of the sessions, please visit the Programme section.
