We disseminated first results of our research work it in the ICERI 2024 conference:

Conference name: 17th annual International Conference of Education, Research and Innovation
Dates: 11-13 November, 2024
Location: Seville, Spain
The work was entitled: Engineering Curricula and the SDGs:A Review
Our goals were two. First, to assess the advances made by Higher Education Institutions in integrating sustainability skills into their curricula and supplementary activities. Second, to identify the training requirements articulated by industries in these domains and their commitment to the SDGs.
The research consisted on conducting interviews with a diverse cohort of thirty individuals representing various university stakeholders, encompassing directors of degree and master’s programs, faculty members, and institutional leaders.
A comprehensive analysis by target groups was then conducted subsequent to gathering responses to comprehend the prevailing scenario and draw penetrating conclusions.
The results of this research led first to understand the need of an agreed structure on the educational strategies. We also identified multidisciplinary approach as one of the most adequate in this purpose of embedding sustainable competences among Engineering students.
