New technologies and advanced analytics techniques and methodologies are being implemented in many business processes across many companies and sectors. In particular, in the financial sector, the use of data and statistical and machine learning models is widely applied for decision making. This seminar will be focused on the incorporation of data analytics in finance, and will consist of two parts:

1. An introduction to credit quality measurement and management
2. A practical case will be developed, including the construction of a supervised machine learning model for classifying a portfolio of enterprises, applying the main techniques commonly used by financial institutions
