ETSAMadera collaborates, together with the UPM’s Construction with Wood Group, in the organisation of the III Latin-American Congress on Wood in Construction (CIMAD24) from 11 to 14 June 2024 in Madrid.

ETSAMadera collaborates, together with the UPM’s Construction with Wood Group, in the organisation of the III Latin-American Congress on Wood in Construction (CIMAD24) to be held in the schools of Architecture (ETSAM) and Forestry, Forest and Natural Environment Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, from 11 to 14 June 2024. Deadline for abstract submission extended until Nov 10th 2023.

CIMAD24 aims to present the trends in research, technology, architecture and engineering that have evolved so much in recent years. Therefore, the structure of the Congress is presented in 7 thematic areas that try to accommodate all those contents related to the use of wood in construction, according to the following scheme:

1. Timber products for construction
2. Timber in construction
3. Architecture and timber construction
4. Existing timber structures
5. Engineering with timber
6. Standards, communication and education in timber construction
7. Wood, sustainability and energy efficiency
