Teresa Martínez López obtained the title of architect by the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid in the year 2021 with honors. She also achieved this distinction during the degree, in the subjects of Projects, Structures 1, 2 and 3, Construction and Technological Systems Project and the Final Degree Project.
She has carried out several research projects at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid by obtaining successive Collaboration Scholarships in the departments of Structures and Building Physics and Architectural Projects. Within the research carried out in the Department of Structures during the academic year 2018-2019, the project ‘Application of the properties of geodesic curves to the design of laminar structures’ contemplates the study of the potential of geodesic curves for the meshing of surfaces, as well as its possible application in the design of reticular laminar structures.
After finishing her degree, she was awarded the SERP scholarship from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, in Japan, to carry out a research stay related to the use and application of wood as a structural material in traditional and contemporary constructions.
