Dive & Data project is a project of Young Innovator and Climate Kic and is developed by ITD-UPM.

The purpose of this project is to promote a scientific approach in schools that allows them to know about the environmental quality of their surroundings. From a critical and solid observation to generate tools to address environmental challenges that challenge each of us at our local scale.

Being researchers of our environment means reflecting and observing, exploring, understanding and analysing the multiple sources of information that exist, but also developing methods of analysis using technologies, such as the development of our own environmental measurement sensors.

GOALS

  • Raise awareness among young people about the environmental situation in their immediate surroundings, especially about water and air.

  • To promote scientific culture from experimentation in the classroom and outside it.

  • To develop digital and scientific skills, such as the development of quality sensors.

  • Encourage creativity and cooperation as a way of addressing common environmental challenges.

  • Encourage their empowerment and initiative for the improvement of their neighbourhood’s ecosystem.
