Expert in advanced water treatment technologies, including disinfection, contaminant removal and photo-assisted oxidation processes. He coordinates the RESET project and leads the development and validation of innovative solutions for water reuse.

Carlo Morandi is an expert in resource-oriented wastewater treatment and recovery of water, nutrients, energy, and metals from wastewater. He leads the Chair for Resource Recovery from Wastewater at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau and coordinates WP3 in RESET, specifically focusing on technical and nature-based treatment processes for phosphorus recovery from wastewater treatment plant effluents.
