The Project

The goal of this project is to leverage the commonalities between fashion and its technical and scientific aspects (mathematics) to offer the public an innovative concept of “mathematical fashion.” These creations, along with live presentations and explanatory documents, aim to introduce viewers to technical and abstract concepts, demonstrating that the two disciplines are much closer than they might appear.

The project’s outcome will be realized in a STEM fashion collection presented in a document and exhibition, accompanied by performances by dancer models and an explanatory audiovisual detailing the entire process.

This type of initiative helps and contributes to:

  • Bridging the gap between science and art and fostering synergy between them.
  • Enhancing and expanding the scientific and technical education, culture, and knowledge of the general public.
  • Increasing participation in the analysis of artistic and current scientific topics, contributing to the formation of a critical opinion.
  • Raising awareness, educating, and informing about the importance of scientific outreach and the promotion of artistic and scientific culture and innovation.
  • Encouraging the exchange of experiences and the search for synergy between society and academic and artistic institutions, bringing together two fields (science and art) that are often far apart.
  • Promoting the organization of science outreach activities related to art that help bring science, technology, and innovation to the general population.
