LIME4HEALTH

The project provides a global, multi- and interdisciplinary vision of the problems associated with indoor air quality in buildings occupied by a sensitive subpopulation: children, from the perspective of building materials and the combination of different types of parameters: environmental conditions, microclimatic data, type of building construction systems and architectural typology, population type and family environment, health, habits of use and occupancy. This research pursues advances in the field of health and well-being of the citizens and the future generations according to the European Green Deal, which will prove to be key in facing the social, economic, and structural changes taking place in our society, through the prevention of high-prevalence and severe illnesses in children. The lack of measures to tackle this issue translates into important health, school absenteeism and socio-occupational repercussions that families must endure, in addition to the overload of public health systems. This project meets the Challenges of Society set out in the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation (2021-2023), specifically, the actions that Challenge 1 (Health) promote.

Colegio Tres Olivos

Together with the “Fundación Dales la Palabra (1999)“, the most important project carried out by the “Asociación Entender y Hablar (1975)” was the creation of the Tres Olivos School, inaugurated on 12 September 2001. Adoración Juárez and Marc Monfort, speech therapists of recognised national and international prestige, materialised the project designed from the beginning as a real model of school inclusion. Tres Olivos is an inclusive education centre, where students with hearing impairment (10%) coexist with students without hearing impairment in a normalised learning environment.

CEM Hipatia FUHEM

Hipatia School is a secular school, which provides a response to the changing educational demands of society, developing the skills, personal autonomy and creativity that allow pupils to continue learning throughout their lives. It belongs to FUHEM (Fundación Hogar del Empleado), an independent secular institution that develops and promotes a quality educational project based on innovation, academic rigour, the integral development of the individual and the promotion of values.
