21st Primary Care Paediatrics Congress

María Aparicio and Begoña Pérez-Moneo presented the paper ‘Description of pollutant levels inside the classrooms of four schools in the Community of Madrid’ at the 21st Primary Care Paediatrics Congress, held on 20 and 22 February in Madrid, a benchmark event for paediatricians working at this level of care. The congress, organised by the Spanish Association of Primary Care Paediatrics (AEPap), brought together experts from all over Spain to debate and update knowledge on the main challenges in child health. Key issues such as the prevention and management of prevalent childhood diseases, the promotion of healthy habits and the impact of environmental factors on children's health, among others, were addressed. The contents discussed may provide relevant information for our project on pollutants in schools, as exposure to environmental factors is one of the areas of growing concern in paediatric health.
