Dr. Kumar Mahtani is a Professor with the Department of Automation, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Industrial Informatics, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain in 2023. Previously, he completed his MSc. and BSc. degrees in Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain and Centrale-Supélec, France, through a double-degree programme. He has co-authored more than 50 contributions, including top-tier articles, oral presentations in international conferences, granted patentes, and book chapters, among others. His major field of interest include the diagnostics and protection of electrical machines and drives, power electronics, and electrical power generation and integration into electrical power systems.
