DOMALZ: Domotics for Alzheimer

I have been the coordinator of the Spanish working group for the research on home automation (domotics) and smart home applications for Alzheimer disease patients and caregivers. The main idea is to develop intelligent systems and applications that can be easily installed in Alzheimer patient’s homes to help them doing their daily activities and to allow their caregivers to monitor their activity and tele-control the house in case that any intervention is needed. The working group is a multidisciplinar environment in which the following agents are taking part: Caregivers, IT and smart home researchers, Alzheimer experts.

There are four topics: Security, Leisure and spare time, Daily life tasks fulfillment, Tranquility and healthy atmospheres.
