Susana Muñoz Hernández

Susana Muñoz Hernández is a professor at the UPM School of Computer Engineering (since 1998). She holds a PhD degree in Computer Science, a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management and a degree in Computer Science. In 2003, she was awarded first prize in the competition for young talents organized by the Center for Higher Studies ‘La Salle’ of Madrid. Since 2006, she has been leading the cooperation group TEDECO (Technology for Development and Cooperation, tedeco.fi.upm.es). She coordinates the educational innovation group TIDE (Technological Innovation for the Development of Education, tide.fi.upm.es ) and she is a member of the Babel research group (babel.ls.fi.upm.es). She also leads the expert digital literacy group TechPeopleCare (www.techpeople.care). She has been a member of the Advisory Council of the OCUD (Observatory of University Cooperation for Development, www.ocud.es) of the CRUE (Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities). In 2011,  her research activity was recognized with the first prize in the International Cooperation Award in Research for Development at the UPM. Email: susana.munoz@upm.es
