I have a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). I work as an e-learning technician at the GATE and I am a part-time professor at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) in the Department of Computer Science, Computer Architecture, Languages and Computer Systems and Statistics and Operational Research. My main research lines related to educational technologies: gamification, social learning and social networks, collaborative learning, personal learning environments, digital competence and MOOC (Massive Online Open Courses).

I collaborate with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport through INTEF in working groups on digital competence, and with ScolarTIC and MiriadaX from Telefónica Educación Digital as an expert trainer in educational technologies.

I have coordinated, designed and delivered the following MOOCs: four editions of "Application of social networks to teaching: learning communities" (UPM – MiriadaX), two editions of "Digital badges as an alternative credential" (INTEF) and one edition of "Poténciate con Redes Sociales" (URJC – MiriadaX). I have also collaborated in the design and delivery of the two editions of the MOOC "Social Networks for Research and Teaching" (UPM – MiriadaX).
