BE CIRCULAR SEMINARS: THE ROLE OF BUSINESSES AND GOVERMENTS

Date: 30th and 31th March.

This call is addressed to students of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid for their participation as UPM representatives in the Be Circular Seminars to be held in Pisa on 30th and 31th March.

The event aims at discussing circular economy from the perspective of businesses and governments to allow students to understand better how the synergies between different actors can foster the transition. During the 30th of March, three short seminars will be delivered by professors and researchers of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (SSSA), Istanbul Technical University (ITU), and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). During the afternoon, a laboratory activity will be held. Students will learn and discuss how to implement circular strategies in a particular business sector.

On March 31, the students visited a recycling plant and a sanitary landfill. The field trip aims to understand deeper how to manage waste in the circular economy context.

Attendees were awarded an EELISA Discovery badge.
